What’s Happening in LCK This Week?
T1 resurged last week with consecutive 2-0 victories against DRX and KT Rolster, climbing back to #3 in the standings (6-4 match score, 15-10 game score). Jungler Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun delivered outstanding performances, posting 6.8 and 15 KDA in those matches respectively, earning him two Player of the Match (POM) awards. With upcoming matches against DRX (May 8) and Dplus KIA (May 10), T1 is poised to extend their streak—especially given DRX’s bottom-tier status and DK’s ongoing 5-match losing slump.
Despite mid laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon’s zero-death KDA streak ending against KT Rolster, Gen.G continues to dominate the LCK with a perfect 10-0 record. Chovy remains the league’s top mid laner, leading in KDA, CS/min, gold/min, damage share, and damage/min. As the undisputed favorites, Gen.G is virtually guaranteed to represent the LCK at MSI 2025 in Vancouver this June.
Similarly, Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) extended their win streak to nine matches, maintaining their #2 position with a 9-1 record. Top laner Choi “Zeus” Woo-je showcased his brilliance with a clutch 1v2 outplay against Nongshim RedForce in Game 1, adding two more POM awards to his season tally.
Meanwhile, Dplus KIA (DK) spirals further with a five-match losing streak, dropping to #5 (5-6). Their recent loss to KT Rolster—despite entering as -357 favorites—highlights their struggles. Nongshim RedForce’s three-match win streak was halted by HLE, leaving them at #4 (6-4, 13-10 game score).
Upcoming Highlight Matches:
- May 8: NS (+495*) vs. Gen.G (-865*)
- May 10: DK vs. T1

What’s Happening in LPL This Week?
Last week’s LPL spotlight was on Bilibili Gaming (BLG) and their roster change. Former ThunderTalk Gaming (TT) jungler Yang "Beichuan" Ling joined BLG, replacing Yan "Wei" Yangwei in the starting lineup. Since Beichuan’s arrival, BLG has looked like a completely different team — ending their losing streak and currently riding a four-match win streak, including a victory over top teams like Anyone’s Legend (AL). BLG now holds an 8-5 match record and has climbed back to #3 in the standings.
Top Esports (TES) suffered a 2-0 sweep at the hands of AL last week, but they still managed to maintain their #1 spot with a 10-2 record. AL is right behind them at #2 with a record of 9-3.
JDG played only one match last week and now sits at 7–4, dropping to #4 in the standings.
Weibo Gaming (WBG) was taken down by BLG in a revenge match and then upset by Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP). They’re now at #5 with a 6-6 record.
Invictus Gaming (IG) continues to be the most inconsistent team among the top half of the standings. In Game 3 of their series against TES, support player Tian "Meiko" Ye was heavily criticized for his performance on Blitzcrank, finishing with a disastrous 0/12/6 KDA. Jungler Zhao "Jiejie" Lijie also struggled, ending with a 1/9/5 KDA.
Upcoming Highlight Matches:
- May 8: TES vs. NiP
- May 10: WBG vs. AL
- May 11: JDG vs. TES
- May 13: JDG vs. IG
- May 14: WBG vs. JDG
